2013/14 MANCHESTER UNITED HOME SHIRT

The home jersey has a sharp, simple, and classic look in the official colorway of “Diablo red, black, and football white”. 

• Design: It features a solid red color, a departure from the checkered design of the previous year, with a black fold-over collar and a three-button placket. The collar design was often associated with the iconic upturned style made famous by Eric Cantona in the 1990s.

• Details: The underside of the collar has a subtle grey and black gingham check pattern, a nod to Manchester’s industrial heritage and cotton mills. The phrase “young and great courage” is printed inside the rear of the neck, representing club values.

• Technology: The shirt was made from a lightweight (150 grams) fabric with Nike Dri-Fit technology to wick away sweat. 

Notable Aspect

The 2013-14 season marked the final year Manchester United’s kits were manufactured by Nike before the switch to Chevrolet as the main sponsor the following year. The kits were worn by players such as Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, and Ryan Giggs.
